Approaching 40 - Open Walls at ARC in April

ARC is approaching 40 years old this year!
Please celebrate with us by submitting your work to Approaching 40, our open walls show this April.  The submission deadline is March 1, 2013. 


Guidelines and Submission Information 
This special exhibition, in celebration of the upcoming 40th anniversary of ARC Gallery and Educational Foundation is an open call exhibition, non-juried, with all work submitted accepted. However, all work submitted must have dimensions which add up to no more than 40 inches on two sides. For example, when listing work, artists generally give the width and height. It is these dimensions of the work which can be no more than 40 inches total. If your work is 20” x 20” (or 16” x 24” or 12” x. 28”), you have met the requirements of an acceptable submission. Since ARC isn’t 40 quite yet, any total dimension less than 40 inches also meets the show requirement. Sculptors need to meet the requirement by having the dimensions of width x height x depth be no more then 40 inches total. Only online submissions will be accepted.

Exhibition Calendar
Deadline for Submission of Applications: March 1, 2013
Show reminder will go out no later than: March 20, 2013
Accepted Work to Arrive at ARC: March 27 - 29, between 12-6pm
Exhibition Dates: April 3, 2013 – April 27, 2013
Opening Reception: Saturday, April 6, 4pm - 7pm
Closing Reception: Friday, April 26, 6pm – 9pm
Pick-Up Work at Gallery: Sat 4/27, 6pm – 7:30pm and Sun. 4/28 12pm - 4pm
Shipping Pick-Up Dates*: Thurs. May 2, 12-6pm *FedEx or UPS are preferred.  Do not use the U.S. Postal Service.

Eligibility
Open to all artists, excluding those working in performance and time arts. Please note: ARC reserves the right to not hang any work submitted that does not meet show requirements, is deemed offensive in content by a majority of the membership, or not ready to hang (unframed, wet, etc).

Fees

$25 for first image, $20 for second image, $15 for third image ($45 for 2 images total, $60 for 3 images) Limit 3 images per artist. If artist submits more than three images, only the first three will be accepted. Submission fee is non- refundable even if work is refused. If paying by check, it must be received prior to installation dates or work will not be shown.
